Pours orange yellow with a faint white head. Some sediment kicking around too. Heard this beer was all that good and from the looks of it we are not off to a good start.
The smell is pretty good. Hoppy citrus aroma that is pretty good. Give me hope that it's better than the look.
So maybe I was expecting this to be a dumper but the first few sips were very impressive. The more I drank it the more I liked it. Good balance with hops and malts and it brings a nice citrus taste upfront with a very faint floral background. I have to say this is pretty damn good.
The feel is pretty smooth but a little thin. Would like a little more bite maybe with some carbonation but not bad either.
Overall, maybe I was expecting something bad but this might be one of the best IPAs in NJ. Very good beer. Goes to show you not to trust what others say and think and taste for yourself.

pours orange/amber with a slight head.
smell is nice, mild. sweet hops/malt, maybe some peaches/mango.
taste is clean, fruity flavor and some bitterness. not bad at all but nothing special. goes down smooth, leaves a fruit-filled aftertaste. not a bitter bomb, a fruity and sweet take on a dIPA.
my first beer from Lone Eagle, not bad at all. will certainly try out more of their beers; they're located 10 minutes from my house. excited to see Lone Eagle and Conclave (LOVE Conclave) enjoy success in my local area of Flemington, NJ.
