so a new brewery makes a hoppy beer that we are all supposed to worship. well, maybe in rural lake country minnesota this is a winner, but for me, its just better than average, freshness being its only real alluring feature, and one of those beers that is good in the moment, but probably cant hold up the next morning (much like myself these days...). a little grainy and sweet, but rather botanical heavy and sturdy on the hop front too, this is easily the most hoppy beer available in this cool new brewery, and one that looks a whole lot lighter than it is. bitter hoppy like its name suggests it should be, better made than some of their others, but still sort of new school generic and a beer that tastes good but is almost instantly forgettable. nice with some of the food in here, especially the pizza, but not a beer that has permanence for me, just another upstart craft beer that needs heaps of tweaking and refinement to stick around for me. i liked this place a lot, but most of their other stuff was better than this taste but commonplace ipa...
