Pours a chill hazed amber with thumb of ivory colored head. Sheets of lacing , pretty good head retention
S: Grassy, a little pear, breadyness
T: Grassyness, pineyness, bready dryness up front, a little leafy hop as well. Cakeyness, leafy & piney hops with plenty of dryness, a little pear & a little boozey pineapple once warm. Finishes with cakey sweetness/dryness, a little pine & pineapple
M: Fairly chewy, pretty firm carbonation, pretty good balance
Old school DIPA, sipper that throws its weight around

Super hawk Double IPA had a similar fruity & piney flavor mix as the Tarantula Hawk but it was much stronger
Look: clear copper hue with a thin white head
Aroma: tropical/citrus fruit, pine resin
Taste: It is malty but also quite hoppy, there's tropical fruit flavors, mango, and a lot of pine resin and grapefruit peel. It is a big IPA.
Feel: light to medium body

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. The appearance is a semi-clear golden amber with a small off-white head. The aroma is smooth sweet malt and hops. The taste is fairly sweet hops with a slight bitter finish. The 10% ABV is well hidden.

Super Hawk is basically a stronger Tarantula Hawk. Same general taste (the box even lists the same kind of hops) but with more of it. It's one of those "hop bombs" as they call it, so if you don't like that, you might not hold as high of an opinion of it as I do.
Poured from the can into my Mewtwo glass. The only real difference aside from the strength is the smell, it's pretty different. Hard to describe, light milky undertones? Honestly, it kind of overwhelmed me until it settled out. The bottom line is, and I'm being honest here, if you liked Tarantula Hawk and said "I want more of this", then this beer is for you. Even if you haven't had either, try this one if you want a really hop heavy brew that isn't a total clusterf**k of hops that don't mix.
Also as you might expect, this one will hit you hard with its 10.10% ABV. I went a little too hard on it one night and ended up with that sorta blind spot you get when you drink too much, while I helped some fools in Monster Hunter and jammed a Lil Flip playlist. It was pretty swangin'. This one's as big as Texas, you can't ignore it.
