Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance - The beer is served a reddish color with a one finger of off white foam. The head fades fast leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell - The aroma is strongest of a sweet molasses and ginger smell, mixed with a little bit of caramel and bread. Along with these smells comes a decent showing of cinnamon and clove giving a cookie like smell overall.
Taste - The taste begins with a molasses and gingerbread taste mixed with some brown sugar sweetness and some cinnamon. As the taste advances some clove and cardommon join the taste while the ginger and cinnamon increase. In the end, one is left with a rather spiced gingerbread cookies taste to longer on the tongue.
Mouth feel- The body of the brew is thick and creamy with a carbonation level that is low. For the gingerbread cookie taste the feel is good and makes for a chewy, slower sipper.
Overall - A decent sipper overall with a nice holiday feel. A fun one to try.
