Pours deep black/ brown with mild head and decorative lacing as tilted in the stout glass.
While some alcohol is on the nose it smells very nice of smoky chocolate brownies dipped in bourbon barrels.
Taste is initially raisin-like and then with an herbal-like, pine malt/ barrel flavor, something different but good in a stout it seems. My wife has a damn aroma mist diffuser going that’s probably screwing up the details here, but I can say that the hops show through. Initially the flavor reminded me of a wheat wine. There’s definitely a medicinal/ minty/ tobacco-alcohol thing going on, but it’s not too bad at all in the overall mix.
Feels medium thick, medium carbonation.
This is a tough one. It’s interesting for sure. Retails at $10 bucks per can (2-pack box required).
