Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a hazy yellow color with a tiny head of white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strong of a bready and cracker malt aroma mixed with notes of coriander and lemongrass. For a pineapple brew the pineapple aroma is light. Mixed with all the smells is notes of an apricot and peach sweetness as well as a little bit of yeast and hay.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready and cracker malt taste that has notes of spice of coriander. At the same time there are fruit flavors of peach and apricot, as well as a little bit of pineapple. As the taste advances the pineapple gets slightly stronger, all while some light yeast and hay come to the tongue. A bit of lemongrass and a touch of alcohol come at the very end, leaving one with a strong blond like taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather low. For the flavors and the abv, the feel is pretty good and makes for a rather easy, but somewhat slower sipper.
Overall – Not a bad brew and rather enjoyable overall. Not too much pineapple in this one, which actually I think suits it well.
