This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head that dissipated at a moderate pace. Subtle signs of sliding lace. The aroma had a blend of cocoa powder, milk chocolate, dry roasted coffee beans and then some toast. The flavor blended the roast to the sweetness fairly nice and strolls right on into the aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Dryness of the style doesn’t distract too much here as there’s an ample amount of chocolate sweetness to empower a slight mobility to my tongue. ABV felt appropriate. Overall, seems like they took an Irish dry stout and added a bit more chocolate malt to it. Seems good to me, would’ve loved this for St. Paddy’s day.
