Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a semi-burnt orange to red color with a slight transparency about it. Just a cap of white dissipating head quickly removes itself from the scene. No lace. The aroma had some grassy to citrusy sweet to bitter hops up front with a touch of some piney-ness just playing in the background and then some soft caramel/toffee malts come in. Light biscuits/toast. The flavor blended for the most part between the bitter to sweet hops rolling fairly well on into the malts. Somewhat of an earthy to bready aftertaste. Quick malty finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt as projected by the brewer. Overall, worthy amber ale of coming back to.
