Form the growler via Jungle Jim's Eastgate and enjoyed in a snifter.
This rather nice roasted beast pours a deep black with some brown
cola highlights and a decent head of off white foam that settles to a thick
ring, subtle light layer, and shows spotty lacing. Nose of deep roasted
malts, dark chocolate, subtle coffee, and hints of cream and moderately
heavy notes of char. Flavors exceed by presentation with char heavy
chocolate malts awash in mild coffee and bitter roasted malts with a
touch of cream and some dark fruit notes. Nice mouth feel; medium
carbonation, medium to full body, and a roast heavy finish.
Overall, a SOLID brew from a solid little brewery.
Cheers

Poured from 64oz growler. Its a obviously jet black stout with a deep brown rim. Almost completely devoid of a head ( probably due to growler ).
Roasted barley and coffee caramel on the nose with the teeny tiniest faint note of lactose.
Drinks a bit more carbonated than it poured. Held on to co2 well. Tastes of rich dark chocolate and coffee, darkly roasted barley permeates. Creamyness of the lactose comes through on the finish. First sip leaves me wanting more so I have another. I get a slight hint of prunes/raisin almost but I'm probably stretching.
Was just a touch thin on the mouthfeel. Perhaps hit a little low on fg but I loved this beer and wouldn't change it personally.
Highly drinkable milk stout. 10/10 recommended if you visit the brewery.
