With delicious and exotic ingredients like ancho and pasilla chili's, cinnamon, coco nibs from Maverick Chocolate, coffee and lactose, this golden is a little sweet and a little stout in all the right places.

I had a draught pint at the Jungle Jim’s EastGate.
It was golden in color and had a creamy and slightly carbonated feel that was quite smooth. The beer was sweet and had depth and complexity to it with the cinnamon, cacao, and coffee notes being quite prominent which is a nice rarity (in my experience, a lot of craft beers will list a lot of great flavors in their description, but end up tasting very plain). The chili notes weren’t as strong, but still detectable and added a dried fruit like sweetness from the ancho and the pasilla added another layer of chocolate flavor. Because of the type of chilies used, the beer had only a very slight hint of spice. Overall a spectacular beer.

Complex. Unique. Multilayered. Borderline exotic missing something from keeping it next level. However very creative and tasty. Not sure where to put it on the scale of balance though. Enjoy!

500 ml bottle from the brewery
Deep golden color with a thin white cap.
Aroma has sweet chili notes with a hint of dark chocolate,
Taste is similar but the different favors work well together.
Full body with moderate carbonation.
This is very different but quite good.

From the growler via Jungle Jim's Eastgate and enjoyed in a snifter
This mighty fine blonde stout pours a beautiful clear amber tinged
golden color with a very nice head of white foam that settles to a
thick ring, thin swirling layer, and showcases some light sudsy lacing.
Nose of rich coffee, cream, moderate spicy chili notes, and touches
of cinnamon. Flavors hit it off the charts with a sweet roasted coffee
and rich chocolate note dashed with mild spicy green chilies and
lightly peppered with cinnamon and sweet honey touched cream.
Excellent mouth feel; medium body, lightly slick, lightly coating,
and a rich roasted finish that is balanced and inviting.

Overall, a fantastic little brew that makes me certain I need to
visit this brewery.

Cheers
