All the rage in the late 1800's, this historic beer is made with ingredients commonly found in Kentucky. Corn, barley and rye make this beer light and easy to drink.

L: Clear, bright yellow-gold leaning a little darker with a small white head that shows a little staying power and little lacing
S: Slightly sweet on the nose and pretty clean, decent balance from very light hops presence, a little fruity
T: Easy-drinking for sure, but the flavor sort of fades off in the finish and the little bit of spiciness from the rye isn't unwanted, as I love rye, but I can't help feeling it clashes a little here; still, it comes together and holds its own
F: Crisp and fairly clean, appropriately light in body; eventually it goes slightly flat into the finish

On tap at the brewery.
Appearance: Dark gold, very little head, some lacing.
Nose: Very little, a bit of wheat perhaps?
Mouthfeel: Light medium.
Attack: Very reminiscent of classic Cincinnati lagers, with an enhanced maltiness and sweetness.
Finish: Follows the attack; very gentle.
Overall: Very drinkable; there’s nothing fancy about this beer, but I could drink a lot of it — maybe my perfect session ale. I’ll be back to order another.
