16oz CANNED ON 09/23/21 (about 3 weeks ago) poured into a nonic pint glass at fridge temp 5.6% ABV. The beer pours dense black with only a hint of brown around the edges when back-lit. Minimal light brown head recedes to a pencil thin ring and incomplete layer of tiny bubbles. No lacing. The aroma is mild with baker's chocolate and coffee notes. The taste is bittersweet chocolate with a marked tangyness before a moderately bitter finish. Minor flavors of berry and earthy green coffee. The mouthfeel is medium plus bodied with average carbonation and a somewhat dry finish. Overall, good. I would prefer less tangyness, but that is just me.

16 oz canny can, no date.
Deep black with a fingernail of head.
Aroma is metallic can, dark chocolate malt, and some burnt/charred malt.
Flavor is astringent coffee, a hint of cream, intense metallic presence, roasted malt, and some bitter dark chocolate. If it weren't for the sweeter flavors this would be a metallic mess.
Feel is crisp and busy, with some roasted dryness and mild alcohol heat.
Overall, a very common milk stout, and isn't bad by any stretch, but it's very ordinary. I like Terre Haute, but this is the first stout I've had from them and I hope the other one fairs better. Would probably not return to.

A decent milk stout. The chocolate flavor comes through ,but did not over power .It has a light mouthfeel.

Had Velvet Cream (Milk Stout) at Fifi’s Lunch Box, Terre Haute, Indiana, on draft into 20-oz. Blue Moon weizen glass.
Pours deep brown with pretty but minimal and soon gone light-tan head. Aroma promises some milk stout goodness, but roasted malts and some caramel, although tasty, are what’s delivered.

I'm trying this beer at the brewery. It poured an opaque dark with no head and no lace. The scent had faint lactose and milk chocolate notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with milk chocolate presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with smooth carbonation. Overall its a decent beer.
