APPEARANCE: Cloudy golden, with a huge off-white head and thick clouds of lace.

NOSE: Tropical fruity, citrus, stone fruit. Enjoyed.

TASTE: Fruity hops, not bitter in the least. Smooth and very drinkable. A superb session ale from THBC.

16oz undated can poured into a wheat beer glass at fridge temp 5% ABV. The beer pours mostly bright light amber in color with off white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and cap with minimal lacing. The aroma is mild with pine, grass and generic citrus. The taste is moderately bitter with the wheat in the background and faded C hop flavors of grapefruit and grass. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, ok. THBC, please start dating all your cans...

16 oz can. No date.
Southern Grist Mini Willie.

Pours a foggy glazed gold with a creamy head of 1 finger, receding halfways and staying there.

Aroma of apples, pear, citrus, and pine water. Some bread.

Flavor brings grass, pear, apple, hay, and wheat.

Feel is well-lit with carbonation, almost a bit too much as it's pretty fizzy; some clinging starchy finish much like apple juice would finish.

Overall, a solid drinker but this one was a bit too ordinary for me. There's not much pop going on here, just a basic muddled fruit cocktail flavor on top of a dusty wheat base. If the fruit cocktail was louder and more present, maybe this would be a bit better. It seems to get better the more you drink it though.

Price paid : $4 / can
Would buy again : nah

I'm trying this beer at the brewery. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had some fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with ripe fruit presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.
