This was another beer that I picked up on my way out to see last year's annual eclipse in New Mexico, as I was passing through Indiana. Never had anything from Terre Haute before and although I'm not a huge fan of these styles, this was more than enough to satisfy me during my more relaxed trip back east!

While this wouldn't win any awards, it checked off all of the proverbial boxes down to the muted, golden hue that was subtly radiant. Plenty of foam topped that off as there were well-defined rings of lacing the whole way down the side of my pint glass. Cream sweetness, corn, and a slightly herbal undertone filled the nose as the taste was on par with that as a bit of citrus juice helped to keep this lively. Slick, full-bodied, and highly carbonated, the barley was more felt than flavorful as the Magnum Hops kept this from being a gimmick.

While not a true session beer, it would be easy to have a few in a sitting as I only felt a light buzz from the booze. Canned on something/14 of last year, this held up well as there wasn't any sediment to be seen or skunk to be felt. Love the basketball hoop, image of the Hoosier State, and stars of their flag on the label as this was a true Indiana Beer. For those of you unable to get a better example of the style, this would suffice for kicking back with...

Gifted a can from a road trip. Canned 08-21-23. Poured into a tall Becher.

L -- Hazy gold with a sudsy white head that crashes to nil.

S -- Light corn, grainy huskiness, light DMS, herbal hops.

T -- Very corn-sweet up front (MGD-like), good balance of hop bitterness. AAL-like corn and grain in finish with a light herbal bitterness in the aftertaste.

F -- Crisp to lightly syrupy mouthfeel with a light-medium body.

O -- Sort of an AAL with good hop flavor and bitterness... but still an AAL. I'm just not big on corn beers anymore, but worth one taste.

This beer pours a nice straw color. This beer is very heavily carbonated. That being said, the head retention isn't the best, and there's minimal lacing on the glass.
The nose has a hint of cream in it. I also get a hint of a malt/biscuit aroma.
Taste - Really nice cream flavor here. I don't drink soda pop anymore, but this reminds me of a cream soda flavor. I also get a malt/biscuit backbone to the cream.
The body is decent. Crisp feeling.
Tasty, and easy drinking.
