16oz tallboy, free media sample from the brewery.
Pours a dark tawny hued liquid with a light tan lace on top. Full bodied, slightly creamy and very smooth. Suggestions of prunes, raisins, brown sugar, cocoa powder, toasted bread, browned apples, and pears. Warming but the alcohol is so intertwined with the big malt character it never really gets in your face. A clear sipper, one of the better US brewed Quads I've had a in a long time.

-tap pour is brown with a bit of haze. No effervescence is evident by eye, but carbonation is appropriate. Aroma is of toffee and and a touch of cinnamon. The flavors include caramel and the high ABV is scarcely detectable. This is a really good strong Belgian.
