This hazy, juicy double IPA has citrus flavors that abound with subtle hints of tropical fruit. Flaked oats make it hazy and smooth. Then it's double dry hopped with tons of Citrus and NYS grown Southern Cross - two straight winners.

Orange to copper and color. Nice white lacing. nose isn’t very fragrant, unfortunately. The taste has great bitterness and pine and citrus to it. Good amount of bitterness on the backend.

Pretty metallic copper and colorful paisley can art though little beer info or canning date.
This pours a cloudy suede color with a tall, big bubbled head of white foam that slumped to still in 2 minutes. No lace or retention.
The aroma is new school "ipa" , small case emphasized. Lots of citrus and some hints of pineapple - call it tangerine if it makes you happy. It's citrus forward and has been done before to say the least .... and much better than this if, sadly, never an actual India Pale Ale. But I digress....
Some sweetness mellows the blast of citric acids on the tongue but the carbonated screwdriver character carries through the flavor profile in the most "been done before" way possible.
Body is light and fluffy - like chewing an over boiled noodle.
Hop bite helps save this on the back end with a tongue tingling peppery dryness that is followed by grassy, alcoholic burps.
If you like the soft and hazy, fermented OJ thing you might like this but I think there should be a warning label on any hazy NEipa type beer " This is NOT a True IPA" or " Haze Warning!" just to differentiate the actual IPA's from the ones who only capitalize on 3 letters in the name.

Picked this up a few weeks back up at Cable Beverage in New York, as I never had anything from Artisanal Brew Works before, let alone having even heard of them. I've had enough IPA's over the years and this one wasn't the best among all of them as it was quite strong and boozy from the get-go, which overshadowed some of the other aspects of this beer that I wish had stood out more.

This had a pour like turbid tropical juice, as it wasn't bright or anywhere near clear. Lots of spongy, bubbled head topped it off as it took up a ton of my pint glass and was quite thin near the surface, as it took it's time settling down. No lacing was left behind as that was quite disappointing during my session. Lots of deep orange, mango, papaya, and booze in the nose as the taste was a bit more full with oats, kumquat, and apricot entering the mix once this fully warmed up. Strong, syrupy, and sticky, this needed more carbonation and sweetness in it as it was quite heavy on the palate and reminiscent of orange blossom honey in the back.

Not a hop bomb in the true sense, this was plenty boozy as it turned out to be a slow sipper. Loved the trippy and artsy label but there wasn't anything written on the bottom of the can, including a date of brewing. This held up well for however old it was but in a crowded category, this was in the middle of the pack. Grab this if you love citrus and tropical flavors with a full body and a bit of an exotic finish, and take the time to enjoy this for whatever it's worth.

This is a very serviceable nice double IPA. Pale orange in appearance with nice tight bubbles. Nice nose of bakery smells and juicy tropical fruits. Those notes are followed with some astringent citrus notes of mandarin and blood orange with some grapefruit pithiness. Finished very cleanly for a brew of 8%.

This one pours a ncie hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This one smells like orange, sweet pink grapefruit, pine resin, and mango.

This is really well done, and has a really good mix of juicy and bitter. It's not a complete juice bomb like most NEIPAs - there's a healthy and clean bitterness, and loads of drippy mango and whatnot up front. There's grapefruit too, and some melon.

This has a really nice soft mouthfeel to it, with a great drinkability, and a nice creaminess.

I'm very impressed with this - it's basically what I want in an IPA these days.

Can: Poured a pale yellow color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry floral hoppy notes with some citrusy notes. Taste is also dominated by dry hoppy notes with some citrusy notes and light bitter notes that can also be detected. Body is about average with good carbonation. Quite dry and not as hoppy as I would have expected.

Poured from a pint can into a snifter glass. Nice frothy white head, two fingers deep, with good lacing. Body of the beer is a deep amber. Enticing aroma of apricots, grapefruit, orange blossoms. First sip is all about the citrus, with a fairly mild hop bitterness on the tail end. At the lower end of the abv scale for a Imperial at 7.3%. Enjoyed two in short order!

Look- Pours almost clear golden orange with a thick white 2 finger head and a little lacing

Aroma- orange, grapefruit and a grainy malt smell that distracts a bit the citrus notes

Taste- follows the nose, with orange being predominant, along with some grapefruit and that graininess which is fortunately better integrated in the taste than it is in the nose

Feel- medium-light bodied with medium carbonation; finishes dry and slightly bitter

Overall- a nice citrus-forward IPA

Can date 1/30/18. About halfway through the pour a massive amount of sediment came out and pretty much remained in suspension ... very unappealing to look at. Not much aroma, maybe leathery peach, and tastes somewhat metallic. Very disappointing. (Supposedly only brewed once... Oh do I wish that were true. Looking at the past reviews, it seems something has gone awry of late... need better QC or something. )

It as better the second time around, 8/24/20.
