Look: Pours a beautifully vibrant orange with a quarter finger head of eggshell colored foam. Lots of bubbles visable streaming up the sides of the glass. Head fizzles away quickly. Moderate lacing.
Aroma: I cant describe it but some sort of yuzu fruit/red apple/pear note jumps out at me off the bat (I'm assuming that's the dragon fruit) with bright citrus akin to fresh squeezed lime juice in between. Not overtly sour on the nose, but definitely tart. Some saltiness in the background, not overbearingly so. Smells great.
Taste: Oh that's good. The first thing I notice is how well the sourness is balanced against the milk sugar, creating a really delicate and unique flavor when paired with the dragonfruit and lime. This is expertly crafted no doubt, whoever made this really knew what they were doing. It's silky and supple but with just the right amount of bite, the lime and dragonfruit come into play on the tail end with a really pleasant grains of paradise / black pepper note to cap things off. This is superb.
Feel: I keep using this word, but it really is silky. Effervescence is moderate. Full bodied for the style, but still relatively light, with a degree of crispness thanks to the bubbles.
Overall: I really, really liked this. Almost all 5's across the board. This probably isn't for everyone but if you like sour beers or want to try something different it's insane. Artisinal brew works lives up to their name, god damn you guys have made something really special here.
