This is an interesting combination of barrel taste and a traditional Tripel. The fruity Belgian esters are distinct, followed by the woody flavors, and then the long dry yeasty finish. The sweet-fruity flavors are powerful plus the boozy but not easily identified barrel taste.
Dried pear, applejack, and a touch of vanilla. The barrel taste lingers. Seems less sweet than some Tripels, but it's intense in every way. Even a little hot with alcohol, but quite sippable. From the 16 oz crowler can filled at the brewpub.
