Bastion has had different Oktoberfest brews in different years and this one is the Märzen version. It's very malty, but not overly sweet. A tangy finish gives this more drinkability. Quite a bit of roasted grain and the caramel finish, but there's a hoppy note of fresh hay and a touch of resins. Overall this is a robust and flavorful brew with the malty flavors nicely on display. Another excellent brew from Bastion and another twist for the array of Festbiers this season. From the 32 oz growler filled at the brewery bar.
