Pint pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a shaker glass. It pours a cloudy, dirty golden-yellow color with a half finger cap of fluffy, bright white foam and abundantly thick lacing. The smell is fruity and fragrant with lemon peel, water melon, berry, and a whiff of lime. This is one tasty ale, offering a fine balance of tart lemon and grapefruit against the sweetness of watermelon, red berry, and oats. At mid-palate there is a strong dose of pine sap from the Idaho 7 hops used in the dry hop. There is biting bitterness throughout and it finishes with a dose of peppercorn from the CTZ hops. The flavors are big, bold, and complimentary. A fine mouth feel with pleasant carbonation. The 7.3% ABV gives it heft without overpowering. Overall, I'm quite impressed. Let it Shine may be the best IPA Ludlam has brewed.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish head tulip

L: Hazed medium golden pour with big foamy white head. Great retention/lacing.

S: Mild aroma... some grapefruit rind and citrus.

T.F: Big grapefruit flavor. Tropical fruit... guava, mango, and rind. Tangerine and pine. Modest bitterness. Medium bodied... smooth and creamy.

O: A rock solid DIPA. Easy drinking and great flavor.
