A: Soft hazelnut-mocha capping is a 3 plus inches high on the pour, with a bready and cavernous texture, remaining strong and resilient despite. Dark milky chocolate pour sits the same in the vessel, with tiny rising gold microbeads of carbonation. Thin full sheet coating graces the walls and sticks well. Nice coloring, better capping.
S: Sweet gingerbread cookies-chocolate arrive on the nose with some sweet vanilla roasted coffee. A hint of smoky bitterness, earthy grounds with an overall good strength. Some burnt woodiness and campfire scents.
T: Burnt sweet chocolate, roasted coffee silty bitterness for the opening sip. Dried vanilla sweetness creamer and gingerbread cookies. Dark fruit, plums, smoky wood with a bit of spiciness, almost peppery Mexican style like. Burnt cake and barley round out.
M: Tingly carbonation, creamy soft, oatmeal like, with a balanced bitterness and warmth of smoky wood on the tongue and inner cheeks. Medium heavy weight.
O: Overall a good solid stout, the 10% is hidden very well here. A strong roasted silty bitterness with some burnt ginger bread cookie sweetness to offset.
