A dark, sweet, and warming imperial stout. Brewed with a crazy assortment of dark malts, leading to a smooth, but strong finish. Revenge is best served cold, but this beer warms nicely.

10 oz. pour of draught at the brewery. It pours a dark walnut - almost black - with a thick, creamy, light mocha-colored head and lacing. The smell is rather subdued with notes of rich chocolate, freshly-brewed coffee, and a whiff of char and tobacco smoke. Its taste opens with a dose of acidic coffee - like at a good diner - along with dark, rich chocolate, hints of caramel, burnt nuts, and earthy char. The flavors are delicate but highly flavorful. This Stout has a creamy but somewhat thin, mouthfeel, with an appropriate level of carbonation, and it drinks very easily for its 9.0% ABV. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot. I've had the BBA version but the aged, non-BBA version stands up very nicely.
