Pint pour on cask at the brewery. It's an attractive pour: nearly black with some dark cola hues at the bottom of the glass, and almost two luxurious fingers of creamy, lite khaki head and thick lacing. It has a fragrant nose featuring oatmeal cookie, roasted malt, and whiffs of raisin, cinnamon, and tobacco smoke. The taste is decidedly raisin-forward; it's fruity and quite sweet. The malt and oatmeal really simulates the cookie taste. There is also a nice cinnamon presence and a hint of nutty char. The flavors are effective and it doesn't come across as gimmick. The mouth feel is very lite and it's extremely drinkable at 5.7% ABV. Overall, this is a fun Stout to drink on cask. It's flavorful and a nice change of pace after a hoppy IPA.
