Bourbon Barrel Amontillado

Poured from fresh 16 oz. can into a stout glass. It pours almost black with 2 fingers of creamy, lite mocha-colored head and thick lacing. On the nose roasted malt, char, tobacco, burnt coffee, caramel, nuts, and a whiff of anise. The taste is roasty with burnt coffee, earth charred nuts, bakers chocolate, and distinct but mellow bourbon. Its mouth feel is nicely thick and creamy with moderate carbonation and the 9% ABV seems appropriate and isn't distracting. Overall, I like the Bourbon Barrel version better than the original Stout but less than the coffee variant.
