A simple blonde ale featuring 100% Canadian two row malt and Liberty hops, this ale is a summer must get! Unassuming yet satisfying, this beer is clean and refreshing with mild floral and spicy notes with just a touch of citrus. This is our long-awaited collaboration with Community Rocks, whose MISSION is to Celebrate, Educate and Empower Youth and Communities through Music, Arts, Wellness and Give Back programs. Proceeds of this beer go to fund their programs!

This was the last of a series of beers that I picked up at the Bottle King in Wayne late last year, as I never had anything from Ludlam Island before. While I don't love New Jersey, I really like it and this was a beer that I liked too, but not to a great extent. It was just a textbook American Blonde Ale that was not particularly memorable, easy to drink, and true to form in the end...
Blonde and cloudy, this had a bit of dark sediment floating in it as it was topped off with plenty of full, sudsy head. Enough clumps of lacing remained as they were all concentrated in the middle of my glass. Floral in the nose, there was some grain, grass, and lemon underneath that as they were all present in the taste as well. Some sourdough and spicy bread came through once this fully warmed up as this felt quite outdoorsy and a bit rustic around the edges. A bit of citrus twang and light hops stuck around in the aftertaste as the carbonation was brisk and the body a bit lighter than balanced, with some honey and slickness sticking around once I finished this off.
Hard to detect the alcohol here as I could have had a few in a sitting with this being an ideal session beer. No date was to be found anywhere on the can as it held up well over this past winter. Glad to see the proceeds fro this as a benefit as I'd have another once spring fully arrived here!

a nice crisp blonde with a bit of breadiness, nothing legendary but could drink a bunch of these.

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a hazy, bright golden-orange with more than a half finger of fluffy, bright white head and thick, sudsy lacing. The smell is grainy with whiffs of citrus and floral spice. It has a pleasant, mild flavor of toasted bread and lemon peel. As it warms there is also a hint of honey. It's smooth and the flavors are soft and mellow. The mouth feel is crisp and lite with a pleasant level of carbonation and with an ABV of 5% a second pour is not an issue. Overall, I Really Like NJ is a very good example of a style I rarely see from breweries in the area. It's a nice change of pace.
