HBC630 Fruity esters such as banana and peach lead to sweet berry notes of cherry and raspberry, followed by a creamy and full bodied mouthfeel. A truly essential NEIPA experience.

First review. Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a murky, muddy, pastel tangerine color with a half finger of fluffy, milky head and thick, long-lasting lacing inside the glass. It's fragrant nose is highly fruity with notes of peach, red berry, just a slight whiff of banana, and big floral hops. The taste is dominated by fruity esters which initially provide lots of mixed berry and stone fruit. As it warms in the glass there are also notes of candied cherry and banana. I'm not familiar with HBC 630 hops but they certainly provide fruit juice-like flavor with minimal bitterness. The mouth feel is rich and creamy with pleasant carbonation and the 7.5% ABV gives it a lot of substance. Don't drink it too quickly! Overall, while this ale is a bit sweet for my palate, the combination of fruits is unique. While I didn't buy cans I enjoyed this ale and would most definitely drink it again. I like that Ludlam has the confidence to brew such quirky ales.
