On cask at the brewery. It pours almost black with a full finger of light mocha-colored foam and spotty lacing. I can really smell the blueberry, along with milk chocolate and freshly-brewed coffee. Wow, the taste encompasses everything I like about the base Thunder Jacket but with sweet, ripe blueberry. I would think this variant would be released in mid-summer but I'm told there are sufficient local blueberries in mid-June. It's soft and very flavorful. Like the other variants of Thunder Jacket the mouth feel is creamy but lite. And at 8% ABV it's very easy to drink. Overall, I really like this variant of what I believe is the best regularly-released Milk Stout in New Jersey.
