Our newest New England Style IPA. Smooth and sweet overripe pineapple, peach, and mango give way to an aroma that’s just as tropical as where the hops came from. This IPA solely utilizes the New Zealand hop varietals Nectaron, Wataktu, and Motueka. Celestial aromatics of peaches, citrus, and lime which transcend to a dank and resinous finish. Truly a vacation in a glass.

First review. Pint pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a shaker glass. It pours a dense, turbid dirty pastel yellow color with a creamy, milky cap and thick, soapy lacing. On the nose there is lemon, lime, pineapple, tropical notes, and soft floral hops. The taste opens with tart lemon peel, lime, and grapefruit rind over a crackery malt base. The Motueka hops shine. There is a strong white wine presence from the Wakatu hops. As the ale breathes in the glass there are also sweet notes of pineapple, melon, and stone fruit from the Nectaron. The flavors are complimentary and well-balanced and there is clean bitterness throughout. The mouth feel is crisp and lite and drinks easily for the 7.5% ABV. It was a great first beer on a hot, summer Saturday. Overall, Green Gobbler is a winner. It's an excellent example of a "New Zealand IPA" with lots of flavor. Thoroughly enjoyable.
