A dark, sweet, and warming imperial stout. Brewed with a crazy assortment of dark malts, leading to a smooth, but strong finish.

I had this on draught at the brewery. Served on cask in a snulip glass. It pours almost ink black with a big, creamy, medium-mocha-colored cap and heavy film of lacing. It is a beautiful Stout pour. The smell includes fudge, cookie dough, and a whiff of roasted malt and char. Its taste is off the chart! Malted caramel with vanilla and chocolate chips, along with roasted malt and nutty char. The flavor is huge and decadent. This Stout is lite and creamy on cask with low/moderate carbonation, and the 9% ABV is well-masked. Overall, I a stunned by how good this Stout is. Ludlam puts variants of its beers on cask on a regular basis but Amontillo Tagalong Cookie may be the best beer the brewery has released to date.
