A classic bitter West Coast IPA. Bronze coloured and heavy on sweet malts, we pack in a host of classic American hops to make it floral, citrus but also refreshingly bitter – and gluten free too!

Copenhagen 9/7 2019. 33 cl can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Chameleon with Motor Cycle Helmet on the can. Love the logo with the little, aggressive Hop Flower.
Pours hazy, murky, golden yellow with very big white head. Bubbly. Settles as a sad puddle of foam after a couple of minutes. Moderate Lacing.
Aroma is medium intense, sweetly fruity, fresh and with a citric streak. Sweet peach and mango. Lemonade-ish, Wheat-ish touch. Sharper citric notes of Grape fruit and Citrus.
Medium carbonation. Soft yet lively texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly stronger, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a pleasant while. Semi-dry finish.
Fresh, easy to drink IPA which serves a decent Summer Day quite well.

440ml can, Aldi.
Very overcarbonated in the can, pours with a huge head that dissipates quickly.
Very cloudy copper. Since when were WCIPAs cloudy? Hefeweizen like.
Fruity, citrusy hop nose. Decent.
Tastes is a bit odd. Rather fusely in taste, but didnt pick that up in aroma.
Some sherbet, middling bitterness, needs more for a WCIPA. Drying finish.
Odd and badly brewed beer.

330ml Can from Morrison's supermarket, Scotland (£1.67):
There was a nice bitterness to the taste in the early going with some pine and citrus alongside touches of grapefruit and some subtle tropical flavours. It was quite a dry but fairly well balanced offering with some bitterness and strong carbonation as well as a slight tang too. Overall it was a good but fairly standard tasting American IPA that was enjoyable.
