This classic, malty Wee Heavy has been left to rest in bourbon barrels for six months. Expect soft bourbon vanillins on the nose, smooth caramel and malt on the palate and a slight boozy kick. We love this beer. We hope you do too.

440ml can from Fierce Beer Online Shop (£6.85):
Pitch black with a 1cm, foamy head that's light tan with a bubbly lacing on the glass & not bad retention for the abv. Strong oak & vanilla initially with butterscotch, plenty of bourbon, sugars & subtle peat notes at the end. It's a strong, slightly boozy taste with more bourbon & a lot of sweetness from the vanilla/butterscotch; medium carbonation with a slight effervescent feel, some peat & smoked oak flavours with an hint of cola; okay for the still but not a classic.

Canned in a big old tallboy crafty craft can and purchased from Thirst Class who delivered it right to my door
Pours a very very dark brown body with big thick off white head
Aroma is full on butterscotch
Flavour is full on butterscotch with some background whiskey noise
Dangerously drinkable

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 9.0%. Black colour, moderate to small tan head. Distinct aroma of bourbon whiskey, roast malts, vanilla and oak. Smooth mouthfeel, moderately warming. The flavour is indeed "heavy on the bourbon", same elements as the aroma. Hints of chocolate too.

On tap in Edinburgh. Pour an opaque, dark, dark brown color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of peat, smoked malt and bourbon. Smokey taste with vanilla, oak and bourbon.
