Copenhagen 4/10 2020. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. Simple black can with the name and logo of the collaborators and the name and style of the beer.

Pours opaque dark brown with a big beige head. Stable. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a dark, sweet roasted odor mingling with lighter citric fumes. Dark, roasted malts, hints of brown sugar and chocolate. Citrus and lime.

Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, fat, creamy, smooth texture.

Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a more moderate citric bitterness. Aftertaste is citric and bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.

Well balanced and not too boozy dark IPA. Nice one.

440ml Can from Fiercebeer.com (£4.91):
A black & opaque body with a 2cm, foamy head that's tan brown, halving in size but covering the surface & leaving lacing on the sides. The nose is dark with some roasted malts, a hoppy base, a little coffee bitterness & a chocolate sweetness. The taste is more hoppy with pine & citrus flavours on top of the coffee & earthy bitterness. It finishes with some chocolate malts & sugars whilst the body is medium, fairly well carbonated & easy to drink with the alcohol content well hidden.
