Brewgooder Global Gathering

A brown ale absolutely packed with chocolate and hazelnut aromas. So much flavour in one can, you would be, ahem, nuts not to try it. Sorry, we'll get our coats...

Copenhagen 1/9 2022. 44 cl conform Mikkeller web-shop. A very green can with long rows of nuts lined up.

Pours opaque, dark brown with big beige head. Bubbly. Disappears completely after a minute. No lacing.

Aroma is intense with a sweet sugary scent mingling with strong odor of nuts. Brown sugar in abundance, dark sweet malts, dark chocolate and hazel nut.

Light carbonation.Medium thick, oily, bit sticky, almost flat texture.

Flavor is intense with strong sweetness followed by moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet bordering on being sugary. Finish is nuts and sugar.

More a very intense dessert beer than a Brown Ale. Thankfully I am not allergic to nuts.

Canned in a big 440ml crafty craft can and brewed in collaboration with Brewgooder
Pours a very very dark brown body with thick tan head
Aroma is chocolate, hazelnut and pencil sharpening
And that’s the flavour and its good
A bit thin though

440ml can from brewery website (£2.85):
Quite a deep, dark brown with a foamy head just over 1cm tall but thick looking with really nice retention. The nose is quite nutty initially with a sweet backing that has some milky notes & chocolate showing with a few sugars & almonds towards the end but it's very pleasant. The taste is similar with a milk chocolate & sweet base that has a nice, nutty middle & some earthy malts coming through as well. It's creamy with a medium body & a strong peanut flavour whilst the beer itself is moderately carbonated & quite smooth with a sweet finish; definitely one of the best new beers I've had in a while.
