500ml crowler from Brewdog Glasgow (£5.94):
Opaque black with a light brown, foamy head about 1cm tall that halves on size but is good for the abv. Strong & dark on the nose with chocolate, caramel malts & a rich sweetness that has some vanilla & oak in there then the odd dark dark to finish but the majority of the alcohol is fairly well hidden. There's a lot of chocolate & vanilla with the taste, oak & a nice bourbon flavour around the middle with dark fruits & sugars to finish. It's again quite rich with a full bodied & a smooth mouthfeel that's balanced with light carbonation & a warming, boozy finish.
