I tried this at the tasting room poured chilled from the tap in a glass.
the color is a straw golden with more clarity than you may expect from the style but it may just be that it is served colder than necessary. The smell has a nice mix of banana and clove apropos for the style. the feel is very good because it is not overly yeasty it is well carbonated and refreshing with mild sweetness and semi-dry finish with no apparent alcohol.
This Weizen is flavorful and fresh tasting which is important as the yeast is the main flavor. there is banana in the taste, however it is done with subtlety and nuance, not an over the top banana as there is a complimentary malt sweetness with subtle spice and almost no bitterness. I would recommend this to anyone who likes German wheat this is a well made beer that stands up to the best craft weizen beers made locally and nationally
