Lovely color; very fragrant; nicely balanced flavor with plenty of hoppiness; feels just right: Overall I really enjoyed this beer.

Poured from bottle into tulip, 1 finger cream colored head, so so retention, good lacing. Slightly hazy yellowish golden in the glass. Smells of doughy malt, some grassy floral hops. Taste is somewhat lemony peach on the first sip, there is some grassiness/floral from the hops. Has a somewhat crisp finish, but not like most czech Pils. I get what Premo said about the flower water, there is something in the middle of this beer that is preventing me from liking it too much. The finish is on the dry side, not as crisp as I would like it to be. Not a bad drinking beer, and will certainly get it again if I find it fresh, but I have had this served to me at bars where it looked like it was make with crystal malts. So check the dates on this before you purchase it. Seems someone who reviewed it purchased an old 6 pack of this

Purchased at local HEB for just under $9 for a six pack. Poured into a lager glass. The color is a darkish yellow, not attractive. There was no head to speak of, hmmmm. Upon tasting my first thought was, wow, this is really flat and unremarkable. My overall impression is one of disappointment. Premium price, less than average performance.

12 oz. bottle poured into pilsener
L: gold, clear ... almost 100% crystal clear, shows plenty of activity in the glass after pushing up a white head of foam about an inch tall; lots of sticking off head in classic icicle pattern; keeps a fluffy thick collar of white foam and a full skin; some sticking; the activity in particular is stunning
S: peach, some bread malt, floral to the point of being piney
T: peaches ... floral/tropical hop bite, not overly bitter, mixes with malt into a peach flavor; bread malt in the background, but the hops dominate, bitterness is more floral than tropical, like crushed flower petals
F: crispy and light, sturdily built, maintains a nice lager crispness through the end of the swallow
O: tasty beer but much more English/American pale ale than Czech pilsner; the floral/peachy hop bite and flavor tastes exactly like several American pale ales (one with nationwide distribution), and the malt never shines on its own ... it's always mixed in to the flavors; a bit disappointing for a huge fan of the Old World styles but made well enough that I'm interesting in trying all of Stesti's brews
