12 oz. can poured into a nonic pint glass
(no legible born-on or best-by date ... there appears to be one on the bottom of the can, but it is almost entirely smudged out)
L: straw/light gold with airy 1/2-inch cap of white foam off pour; lots of sediment comes off the bottom (very un-lagerlike, no?) and clouds the beer to the point that it's about 60-70% clear; the beer keeps a tidy collar of white foam but virtually no sticking off the head or lacing on the way down
S: peach kolache right off the hop ... beautiful biscuity pilsner nose with nice highlights of sweet bready malt; as the beer warms and I drink into the glass about a 1/3 down, a lemon-lime tartness shows up, almost goselike with a weirdish hint of dill pickle juice mixing in with the sweeter bread-malt aromas; still, if I dig into this deeply, it's still more pils than anything else
T: weird mix of classic pilseners notes (sweet bread malt/greenish or lemongrass hops) with that goselike dill pickle thing always present even if just lightly; it comes off a lot like one of our standard craft-made American blonde ales that are generally very sweet and often full off notes like buttery diacetyl or the creamed corn dimethyl flavor — for clarity, this beer is NOT like those butter- or creamed corn-bombs, just showing some notes that have to be considered "off"
F: perfect ... light and crisp but not watery; I would have no idea this is so light an ABV, and I like that it is plenty carbonated but not overly so
O: love this beer even if it appears to have flaws; for starters, Stesti delivers something I've been screaming for for years, a tasty, flavorful low-ABV beer in the true session range; also, it's good; but, man, is it weird with the ever-present feel of a gose; I don't know if it's the power of suggestion from the green-yellow can (screams dill pickle) or the sediment that poured off the bottm (screams American blonde ale, which are also off IMO), but there is distinctly a tart note in this brew. still, that tartness might actually work great on a really hot day, especially at the 3.7% ABV; hard for me to score but the bottom line is I like it and I will be careful not to pour that sediment into the glass next time

Bought a can of this beer at a local grocery store. Poured into a tall tulip glass. Slightly hazy yellow color with decent initial head but little lacing. Sort of a grassy smell and taste with a hint of lemon. Not the most exciting beer I have had lately and a bit off in taste and feel compared to similar beers.
