Fine spot for quality brew if you are a visitor or KC local.
Mid sized store, Beer, wine and booze all available.
Friendly and knowledgeable fellow behind the counter.
Expect to find more than ample quality options of the usual local, regional and national heavy hitters. My notes remind me that "they have a huge selection of da good stuff"
Well worth a visit if in the area, just down the road from the high quality BKS boutique brewery.

The parking lot for this Mike's is perpendicular to the big 63rd Street in Brookside making it easy to miss. Inside is a rather standard looking retail space with high ceilings, exposed metal rafters, and thin commercial carpet on the floor. Staff is friendly and attentive immediately upon entering, with one staff member on site as a beer expert making them fun to chat with for beer recommendations or just to chat beer. A growler station with about 10 taps (largest tap selection of all the Mike's) is straight across the store from the entrance. Tap selection is diverse. Beer selection is huge with one big shelf lining the back wall all the way back to the coolers. The dry shelves hold large format bottles, both domestic and import, and span a diverse and high quality variety. A handful of coolers in the back hold 4 and 6 packs. A few sale beers are available around the cooler selection, mostly past their bottle date. The counter by the growler station often holds "just in" beers, which include a few rarities. Overall, a fantastic store for a craft beer consumer.
