Copenhagen 22/1 2022. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. A reindeer looking slightly psychotic and a snowman on the can. Quite weird with an English Christmas beer with a Danish name.
Pours unclear red with a midsized pink head. Bubbly. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a candy-like fruity odor and a more subdued tart scent. Strawberry marmelade and sweetened cranberries. Citrus and tart sour gooseberries.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, watery, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong almost sugary sweetness followed by medium strong sourness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light tart undertone. A bit watery. Finish is sweet slush ice.
Quite sweet for a Sour. But then again - it's Christmas.
