Imperial Blueberry Stout. Deeper, darker and more complex... Chocolate, caramel and roasted grains play off the fruit to reveal a dessert-like character that will lick your face and take you for a walk!

Copenhagen 29/9 2019. 44 cl can from Voldby Købmandsgaard (web-shop). Drawing of a Dog walking a Human on the can.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small beige head. Bubbly. Disappears more or less after half a minute. Leaving a thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass.
Aroma is intense with heavy sugary chocolate on one side ans fruity, berry sweetness on the other. Chocolate, molasses, brown sugar. Blueberries, raspberries, blackcurrants.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, a bit sticky, almost flat texture.
Flavor is heavy sweet. Very light tart, berry sourness. Aftertaste is quite sweet but with tart undertones lightening it up. Light alcoholic burn. Lingering.
Heavy yet refreshing. Boozy yet light. I am not much into Dessert beers but this one manages to combine the sweetness of the stout with some fruity lightness.
