A- This one pours a dark ruby brown color that is actually quite clear....think a weakly colored coca cola/weak coffee. The head is small-ish, soapy and settles quickly into a ring around the glass. I hardly see any carbonation, and it really appears to be flat and the lacing seems quite alright, with small clumps of foam sticking, and then sliding slowly, back into the liquid. Above average look for sure!
S- My initial reaction is a lot of sweet caramel/toffee/molasses sweetness, with mild background notes of milky chocolate, coffee, and toasted nuttiness. Yeasty biscuit aromas are also present and the finish seems to lean towards the sweeter, lingering side of the spectrum! Typical for the style and very much welcomed!
T- Dark astringent flavors that remind me of black coffee, cocoa nibs, burnt almonds, and a burnt brown sugar/toffee/molassess sweetness that lingers throughout the body. The finish is light, cleansing and slightly of hop bitterness. Slightly weak in general....
M/O- Light bodied and with plenty of expected scrubbing carbonation. This is easy drinking and if anything, a little underwhelming for the style, but I like it enough. Would I seek it out?....maybe, maybe not, but I think it could be better....however, it could be much much worse!

This is more like it-- a nice ruby color, malty nose, and a hint of smokiness.
The malt comes through on the taste, as does the smoke.
Aggressive carbonation and good malt balance. It's a winner.

330ml bottle, day 3 of the 2016 Craft BeerAdvent calendar - been a while since I've had a Finnish brew, methinks. Ok, it seems that 'luomu' translates to 'organic', so that much matches up here.
This beer pours a clear, dark red-brick tinged brown colour, with three fat-ass fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and somewhat creamy beige head, which leaves some tightly packed island group lace around the glass as things lazily recede.
It smells of bready and doughy caramel malt, some prominent earthy nuttiness, a subtle dark orchard fruitiness, and very tame leafy, weedy, and floral noble hop bitters. The taste is bready and sort of meaty caramel malt, a lesser biscuity toffee sweetness, muddled and bruised stone fruit, a hint of wan yeastiness, and more tame leafy, earthy, and dead floral green hoppiness.
The carbonation is adequate for the support job required here, in terms of its bored-seeming frothiness, the body a so-so medium weight, and more or less smooth, with maybe a suggestion of char keeping this one just short of the ideal. It finishes off-dry, the mixed malt and bland fruitiness escorting us straight out the back door.
Overall, this comes across as a decent version of the style, nicely malty and fruity with a low, but sufficiently bittering off-set. This is the kind of beer that I shouldn't be writing about, but rather quaffing whilst kicking back with family (I'm one quarter Finnish) and shooting the shit, yah?

Day 3 from the 2016 Craft beer advent calendar
Nice tan 1 inch head with good lacing which reduces to a thin film on top. Clean Caramel or light chocolate brown colour
Not a strong scent coming from it but enough to get a good detection of malts. Bottle said fruits but this wasn't very strong in the smell.
Taste doesn’t disappoint from the smell but maybe a little from the style, slightly weak for a dark with a smoked malt flavour.
Light fell and a little chewy but holds a nice aftertaste.
Not my typical dark but still enjoyable if there is such thing as a sessional dark. Decent overall which ai guess is all that can be expected from a beer that advertises "Not Bad" on the label to describe itself
