Sampled at the brewpub, it came out a clear copper under a thin 1/2 finger off-white head that fades quickly and manages only a couple spots of lace. It has a nice caramel nose with a touch of roasted malt. The mouth is thin and very prickly. The taste is quite strong of roasted malt with good hops backing - not overpowering, but definitely present. The aftertaste is mildly smokey, with a nice lingering bite. A refreshing and solid product worth seeking out.
