Pours a murky, brown'ish beige coloration with a tiny, fizzy head that soon fades to nothing. Smell is a slightly odd aroma of mouldy bread, overripe tropical fruits and red berries. Taste is some sweet, doughy malt up front, with quite strong and overripe tropical fruits coming through as well, pineapple being most noticeable, as well as some mango and papaya and perhaps a hint of grapefruit as well, with just a hint of red berries pine. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness, medium/strong hop burn and some tropical notes and pine lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
I have to say that this seemed kinda off to me at first, but it kinda grew on me as I drank it. There's a somewhat odd red berry presence to the aroma and taste here that doesn't seem to fit in with the vibrant tropical flavor profile that is quite dominated by pineapple overall, almost making me think that there might be a touch of oxidation to this. I dunno, it's not necessarily bad, but definitely odd and not quite to my personal taste and while I don't really mind a bit of hop burn generally, it's quite pronounced and lingering here.
