Poured from 330mL can into a tall kitchen glass. Best by 2/3/24. God bless the EU, they make you put all the ingredients for beer on the label -- this berliner weissbier is brewed with a little bit of tarragon, of all things!
Appearance: initial pour was very foamy indeed, with like 4 fingers of frothy white foam atop a nicely hazy yellow-golden body. I think it looks good!
Smell: sweet and herbal; it's a little bit minty and a little bit licorice-ey. I'm glad I read the fine print on the back, because otherwise the front of the label does not talk about the tarragon at all. I actually quite like it; not quite the woodruff syrup of a traditional Berliner weissbier, but I think it works for me.
Taste: licorice, mint, and a bit of citrusy sourness atop a nicely wheaty malt base. I am really enjoying this.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess. Nice body achieved for a 3.7% beer.
Overall: this beer is really growing on me. Tarragon: who'da thunk it?
