A light Vienna style lager with a toasty nuttiness and crisp finish from German and American hops. This is an easy drinking amber.

Poured into a Tree House glass a pretty nice translucent dark red color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice creamy one-finger plus light tan head, which leaves a pretty nice medium size oil slick, and some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, hoppy, with some cherries, with a pretty nice roastyness, kinda spicey. The taste is pretty nice malty, hoppy, with some cherries, pretty nice roastyness, kinda spicey. Medium body, ABV is hidden pretty nicely, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall this is pretty tasty.

i really wanted to get the grapefruit ipa, but the older lady at the bar convinced me that this one was the go, and that i needed to have this one if i was only going to have one more, so i listened to her and ordered it up. i dont regret it, but its a pretty basic beer, as well made as it is. great clarity and a nice white head. its not evident in nose or taste, or really even feel that its a lager, no yeast character here for me at all, although it is far drier than most amber type ales out there, and perhaps thats the link. a very mildly flavored brew, conservative with the malt and with the hops, slight florals on the hops, fresh but timid, and it struggles to come through even a moderate amber base. the goal here was obviously a mass appeal session type beer amid some much more flavorful offerings on their menu, but they got it right. clean and easy drinking, smooth to the feel, and again not too much leftover sugar, which you always have to look out for with these. it could stand to be a little more robust overall, but its a good four season crusher, and every brewery needs one or two of those. i feel that way about all the eddyline beers for the most part, but i like their work a lot...
