this is darn good, a citra heavy pale ale with lime. we always see blood orange or tangerine or something, never lime in hoppy beer, that always seems reserved for pils types, wild beers, or corona. its nice in this pale ale context, and i think it works great with the citra. its not too heavily dosed here, this is still hops way before fruit, but it adds a neat accent to this, and almost makes me taste the citra hops a little differently, they arent quite as familiar here, a little more vegetal, a little brighter and crisper, a new side of this one for sure, and i love when a beer can do that for me, very enlightening. while enlightening is fun, its also awesome that this tastes so good. a little bit of a dry cereal malt base to it, its not irrelevant, but tons of juicy fresh tasting hops and a citrus explosion before the mild bitterness in the finish. simple but compelling, refreshing for how robust it is, and nicely carbonated. i picked up a can of this way out in the mountains and really enjoyed it, but have not seen them around denver yet. more summer than fall, but i would love to drink this one again...

Thanks to Wasatch for this one. Poured into a pint glass. A hazy, almost murky golden straw color with a one-finger fluffy white head that left sheets of splotchy laces in the glass. There were bright citrus notes in the aroma, with lime up front but not too dominant. Tangerine, grapefruit, and bready notes were there to balance things. The taste followed closely: the lime brought a clean, bitter, and acidic frame for the beer, and the other citrus notes and a nice crackery malt presence kept it interesting. Medium-bodied and not watery for this 5% ABV beer. Perfect for drinking on a Sunday afternoon while watching some football, especially with some chips.

16 oz. Can
Poured into a Squatters true pint glass a pretty nice hazy pale yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy two-finger white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, some malts, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, slight grapefruit, lime), some pine. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, slight grapefruit, lime), slight pine. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty brew, a nice thirst quencher.

16 oz can. Pours hazy straw yellow with a medium creamy white head that retains fairly well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet lime with piney hops.
The flavor is musty bready malts with some sweet lime and a mild grassy hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a little watery.
Overall, an interesting idea. I wish the lime flavor was brighter with a better hop flavor.

Pours hazy bright gold. Tall fluffy head. Citra hops come through strongly in the aroma: lime, tangerine, mango. Taste is subdued compared to the aroma. Crackery, grassy, limey. Soft mouthfeel. Moderate-low bitterness. Very dry. Moderate-light body. An enjoyable, very bright summer beer.
