Says nothing about being a NEIPA on the can. I;m sitting here looking at chunks of yeast float around in this thing and it's disgusting.

Pours a foggy orange with two fingers of off-white foam. Aroma is tropical fruits, papaya, and orange zest with just a hint of earthy malts. Mostly citrus. Flavor profile is tropical fruits, papaya, orange zest, and mango. It's tropical fruits all the way through, with a really ripe finish. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a soft effervescence. Overall, tropical fruits with some mild malt at the end.

Served in a 16oz tulip from a 16oz can.

16 oz can, canned 3/26/20. Pours hazy yellow with a big frothy white head that retains well and leaves little lacing.

The aroma is sweet tropical fruit with some resiny hops.

The flavor is sweet bready malt with tropical fruit and a big piney resiny finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, a nice IPA.

Can at Freshcraft, Denver, CO

A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head.
S: Moderate aromas of gooseberries are present in the nose.
T: The taste has strong flavors of limes along with notes of lychees and hints of stone fruit. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This New England IPA does a very good job at showcasing the aromas and flavors of the hops, particularly those from Citra.

Poured into a snifter. Slightly hazy golden amber color with a medium white head. Aroma was a bit muted but nice orange citrus, pineapple, and grassy notes. Bright orange and tropical flavors with bready malt. Medium bodied and slightly thin. Overall a nice IPA.

Can't say I've ever historically been a fan of Eddyline, but some reps gave me a taster at a beer store earlier today and I thought this in particular seemed tasty, so I bought the sixer of 500ml cans for $9.99 (which is itself a pretty darn good deal in terms of sheer volume...how many beers can you buy for $10 per 2L?).

"Double dryhopped [sic] India Pale Ale." Hopped with Citra, Motueka, and Mosaic hops.

Has a soft mouthfeel that underscores the low bitterness yet hoppy flavour profile. Faint citrus, muddled tropical character, Odwalla juice...it's not great, but it's pretty good for what it is.

Well-priced at $10 per 500ml sixer. I can't say it stands out in the contemporary IPA market except in terms of price per oz, but it's inoffensive and generally enjoyable even if its hop profile is merely mediocre and it wants for complexity and subtlety.

Eddyline is generally pretty mediocre but this is decent. So long as they don't shift to a standard 72oz sixer format, this'll be worth buying here and there.

08/10/18: So I enjoyed a couple other cans of this thoroughly and had to go back for another sixer...the price seemed great for the quality. Impressions from a fresh can below:

Aroma is juicy, and the taste delivers. Slightly pulpy orange juice, blended mango juice, tangerine fruit. A soft mouthfeel cushions the citrus, and it never drinks too acidic or sharp.

Hop pungency is limited as in many expressions of this "hazy IPA" substyle (which I'm oft-inclined to refer to as "India Odwalla Ale" as a tongue-in-cheek criticism). But its balanced, with the pale malts and whatever other malts (I'd guess wheat) lending enough sweetness to quash any overt hop bitterness. I think I find some leavening oats in there too, but I don't taste lactose sugar thankfully.

Mosaic and Citra could both be put to better use; they're not well-showcased. In fact, this beer seems more interested in tasting like alcoholic orange juice than it does in showcasing hops.

Highly drinkable in spite of its shortcomings. The value alone will likely have me returning to this if I really crave an I.O.A. (see above) and I can't stomach the outrageous $16-$20/4-pack price point these hype brews have reached. If you want a solid expression of an IPA at low cost, you'd be better off buying a tried and true classic like Bear Republic's Racer 5, or if you need it juicy, give Deschutes' Fresh Squeezed a go.

2018.09.05 impression from a can:

Somewhat juicy. Highly drinkable. Rather affordable for the substyle.

Thanks Steve G (Birraipa). Can dated 6/18/18.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was nice looking hazy orange color with a slim cap of white foamy head that slid off fairly nice. Lace speckled in a nice way.
The aroma had a thoroughly blended earthy sweet to danky sweet Vidalia onion, garlic, white pepper, floral and hop oils.
The flavor brought all of those prior mentioned aromas together towards the sweet side and wrapping in a touch of hoppy danky earthiness underneath. Mild aftertaste of floral, citrus, Vidalia onion and garlic.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied, perhaps a touch under. Noticeable hop heat, but I wasn't too bothered by this. Carbonation felt right where it should be for a New England styled IPA (fairly low). ABV felt on par. Finish was semi-danky with some white pepper, garlic and citrus.
Overall, pretty nice New England styled DIPA I'd be willing to come back to.

16 oz. Can
Canned On: 05/03/22

Been a few years since last.

Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice cloudy yellow/orange color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which also leaves some very nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, melon, cantaloupe, mango), with some pretty nice little diesel like. The taste is very nice hoppy, malty, with a really nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, melon, cantaloupe, mango), pretty nice little diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty beer. Addictive! Orange Juilus! Milkshake!.
