Drank 4/10/26. Canned 10/6/24
Pour is black with a big, dense, creamy cap of khaki head. Excellent retention and lacing.
Nose is roasted coffee, hint of bourbon, chocolate, oak, char
Taste is chocolate, coffee, char, bourbon, oak, vanilla, roasted malt, java, mocha, nicely balanced. not overly sweet, and there's malt / coffee driven bitterness to keep things balanced.
smooth, creamy, full body with medium carbonation.
Overall a very enjoyable beer. I'd be very happy to drink this again.

This was yet another beer given to me when I was out visiting a friend in Littleton, Colorado on Halloween. Never had anything from Eddyline before and this was a decent first impression from them, as it was quite easy to quaff given the amount of booze that it had.
No surprise that this was dark as it had a thick, chocolate head that was full of bubbles and took quite a long time to settle. Hardly any lacing was left behind aside from a few thin splotches where the liquid settled after the initial pour. Lots of dark fruit, bourbon, and booze in the nose as the taste had notes of currant, wood barrel, and roasted coffee. Quite slick and rich, this was cloying in the back and had enough nuance to draw me in once it fully warmed up. Wondered where the java was as the coffee wasn't that overt as was on par with the dark cherry and vanilla that stuck around once this was finished off.
Canned on 10/8 of last year, this held up well as it felt fresh and didn't have any sediment in it. Dangerously strong, one of these was enough to get me through this windy winter's afternoon. Lots going on here as this was worth taking the time to appreciate, although it's not up to par with better examples of this style. More char, coffee, and a roasted undertone would have made this outstanding but as it was, it was enjoyable as is!

16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of roasted coffee, chocolate, toffee, bourbon and vanilla. Sweet chocolate and toffee with bitter coffee and a great barrel finish.

Poured into a Trillium glass a very nice dark brown color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy two-finger tan head, which leaves a very nice medium size island and some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, malty, hoppy, with some pretty nice chocolate/toffee, some coffee, vanilla, whiskey/oak, licorice, some roastyness. The taste is very nice malty, hoppy, very nice touch of chocolate/toffee, coffee, vanilla, whiskey/oak, licorice, pretty nice roastyness. Full Body, ABV hidden pretty nicely, a pretty nice sipper, nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a very tasty brew.
