Pours a cloudy amber color, with a spongy, bigger head.
Smells of leathery, flower wrapped herbs, together with a white wine tartness amongst dusty, oaken barrel. This brings an unusual fruitiness to light, far more intense than the grape like nelson sauvin hop is known for, with a caramel sweetness to it.
Has a lighter to medium body with a fitting, soft, higher carbonation. The beer turns even more refreshing, making use of slightly bitter, longer staying hops.
Tastes of older, sweeter toffee, toned down by lemons and dried oranges, with an uprising cheese funkiness. Has an effervescent, stony middle part with garden herbs, old bonbon and juicy turning oranges. Finishes soft and smooth with old oak, blue cheese and prevailing lemons.
This is indeed somewhere between an ipa and a white wine barrel aged sour, combining both styles marvelously well. This creates a quite effectivly working, yet complex and long lasting beer, which proves to be refreshing throughout.
