L: poured from a crowler to a snifter glass. Had a bright yellow color and a cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Pretty good lacing.

S: A fruity and sweet aroma of tropical fruit, hops, citrus fruit, and malt.

T: Tasted of a little bit of malt (mostly in the finish), a ton of citrus fruit (orange and grapefruit, especially), a moderate amount of hops (not overdone), and a lot of tropical fruit (mango, in particular). A fruity, zesty, and lively flavor. It's not quite as zippy as some DIPAs, but rather has a nice subtlety about it. Lots of fruity sweetness. Quite delicious.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a smooth and creamy finish. Medium-bodied.

O: A well-made, likable beer. Drinkable.

Canned 10/25/18
Strong citra aroma on opening. Appearance is light yellow to beige, translucent, hazy but no floaters; a finger's long lasting head and full curtain of lacing.
Grapefruit, onion, pineapple, cut grass scents.
Mango, grapefruit pith, tangelo flavors.
Soft mouthfeel, medium body, 8+ ABV inconspicuous. Dry finish, on the bitter side of the spectrum.
Superlative DIPA, on par with Sungazer.

Head brewer is formerly of Trillium and this is like a softer version of the profile found in classics like Mettle/Scaled up. Drippy mango, pineapple core, lots of zest. Great hop combo. Full bodied and creamy throughout but finishes dry and quenching. Well done CTF.

COD 10/25/18 Hazy yellow pour with touch of amber. Hazy, in this case, means NE IPA style haze. World class head volume, lacing and retention.

Quite outstanding nose that is juicy. Pineapple and orange are predominate with notes of tangerine, nectarine and subtle mango. The base hints at a bready sweetness with a touch of biscuit.

Medium body that hints at being heavier than it is. The texture is silky smooth with a touch of oily slickness to it. The carbonation / body balance is also world class. The middle provides a prickly effervescence that opens the flavors up. The finish is a finely bubbled rollicking ride.

The flavor profile is quite outstanding. The only thing preventing world class status is flavor intensity. It needs a bit more punch. Bitterness is mild for the style but balances perfectly with the mild middle sweetness. Alcohol is completely covered. Flavors initially present in blended fashion but do separate into those implied by the nose over the bready middle. Biscuit presents towards the finish and coincides with the heaviest orange influence. The finish is a slow fade of decreasing sweet orange and rising zest. A light zest bitterness lingers.
